Our Approach

Leopard looks for listed businesses where the market price may not fully reflect underlying value, asset quality or the potential for improved stewardship. These opportunities are often found in smaller, under-followed or poorly communicated companies where conventional market coverage is limited.

Leopard is not restricted by company size. Larger listed businesses are considered where scale, market position and a clear valuation gap justify it.

The investment process is bottom-up and selective. Leopard assesses business quality, industry position, balance sheet resilience, management incentives, board composition, capital allocation history, disclosure quality, downside protection and potential catalysts for change.

Leopard is prepared to be patient where the underlying case is sound. It prefers concentration over activity and does not invest for the sake of market exposure. Capital is deployed only where the expected return, risk profile and ownership case justify the commitment.

Where appropriate, Leopard may engage constructively with boards and management teams. This engagement may relate to governance, disclosure, strategy, capital allocation or shareholder alignment. The aim is practical improvement, not public theatre.

Approach pillars

Overlooked companies

Leopard is drawn to businesses that are under-researched, under-owned or misunderstood by the broader market.

Governance and stewardship

Board composition, management incentives, disclosure quality and capital allocation discipline are central to Leopard’s assessment of risk and opportunity.

Ownership mindset

Leopard approaches investments as a business owner, not a short-term trader. It seeks situations where patience, concentration and independent judgment can matter.

Constructive engagement

When engagement is warranted, Leopard favours clear, evidence-based and constructive communication with boards, management teams and other stakeholders.
